Our Team - Vets

Mary Round

(BVSc MRCVS) Veterinary Surgeon & Co-Clinical Director

 

Mary, one of our Directors, has been a vet for 26 years, is married to a local farmer and has two daughters. She has a dog, a cat, a goldfish called Benny Bubbles and loves the idea of chocolate covered rugby players.

Adam Durkin

(BSc Hons BVSc MRCVS) Veterinary Surgeon & Co-Clinical Director

 

Adam Durkin has been with the Practice since the beginning. Adam does strange things with needles but it's all legal as he is a member of the The Association of British Veterinary Acupuncurists. He is married to Liz, lives with his family locally and has a menagerie of animals. For those who may be interested, Adam's favourite tipple is single malt whisky and dedicates his free time searching the Highlands and Islands of Scotland for "happiness".

Katie Hanks

(BSc Hons BVSc MRCVS) Veterinary Surgeon

 

Katie Hanks has been with our practice since August 2011, having spent 5 years in sunny Northamptonshire she moved to the Peak District for the hills and long walks. She loves walking locally, but also has a soft spot for Snowdonia. Katie also loves travelling, in particular skiing in the Alpes. Katie has 3 cats, and one (usually wet) Working Cocker Spaniel Max.

Bethany Cluer

(BVSc MRCVS) Veterinary Surgeon

 

Beth qualified from Liverpool university in 2012. After a short time working in Cornwall she moved back up to Derbyshire and worked in Matlock before joining Blenheim in August 2016.

Beth lives in Ashbourne with her two cats Crumble and Bluebell.

She has interests in large and small animal surgery and is an acupuncturist.

Chrissie Baxter

(RVN Veterinary Nurse)

 

Chrissie has been nursing for 12 years, lives locally with her Fiance, her pet cat called Bizkit and her French Bulldog, Millie. She likes writing poetry, fishing and gardening.

Louise Humphreys

(Veterinary Nurse)

 

Louise Humphreys has been nursing for 19 years and has been with the Practice since the beginning in July 2002. She lives locally with her husband Guy, her two children Noah and Florence and her cat Lego.

Anna Jones

(Veterinary Nurse)

 

Anna has been a nurse for 7 years and lives in Ashbourne with her partner and her dog, Marley and cat, Haps. As she is new to the area she is enjoying exploring our beautiful countryside on foot.

Charlotte Coles

(RVN Veterinary Nurse)

 

Charlotte started working at Blenheim in February 2010 as a receptionist. She then became a trainee nurse assistant and then went on to train as a qualified veterinary nurse and fully qualified in March 2015. Charlotte has two French bulldogs Gertrude and Jacques and a rabbit called Noris. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, dog walking and follows Derby County.

Rebecca Filer

(RVN Veterinary Nurse)

 

Rebecca qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2010 and joined Blenheim in 2014.

Rebecca enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her family.

Jessica Elliott

(Trainee Veterinary Nurse)

 

Jess is one of our 2nd year trainee nurses. Jess lives on a farm and enjoys riding her horse Blossom.

 

Emily Winfield

(RVN Veterinary Nurse)

 

Emily qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2014. She lives locally with her family and enjoys fast cars and fast horses.

 

Imogen Taylor

(Joint Practice Manager)

 

Imogen has been with the practice since the beginning. She lives locally with her partner, son and eclectic collection of dogs, cats, frogs and fish. Together they enjoy walking, books, music and travel.

Liz Durkin

(Joint Practice Manager)

 

Liz Durkin has been with the Practice since the beginning, is very artistic and in a former life was a jeweller. She is married to Adam, they have two lovely boys and live locally with their pets. Liz is a bookworm and can often be found with her head stuck in a book. She has a secret thing about James Bond films (especially the ones with Sean Connery in them) and is fascinated by draughty kilts.

Wendy Brown

(Receptionist)

 

Wendy lives in Belper with her partner Andy and between them they have four fabulous boys, a collie dog called Ben, a bearded dragon called Pancake and a tarantula called Sherbie. She loves cooking, red wine, running, rambling with her dog, prosecco, yoga and eating and is addicted to peanut butter

Kath Batley

(Receptionist)

 

Kath started working at Blenheim in December 2007. She has one lovely dog called Chalkie, two cats Miss Milly Kitten and Morris and also has a small heard of South Devon cows.  Kath enjoys walking, gardening and her South Devon cows.

Debbie Airey

(Receptionist)

 

Debbie joined the reception team in 2009. She has a cat called Missy and enjoys spending time with family, watching rugby and motorbike racing.

Pam Kirk

(Receptionist & behaviourist)

 

Pam started in December 2003, she is married with two children, has a yorkie called Dino, a great dane called loxley and a lurcher called Jenson who very kindly donates blood in return for lots of food! Pam hosts the monthly puppy parties with the nurses and is a qualified dog behaviourist. She likes reading, cooking and going to health spas.

Helen Burton

(Receptionist)

 

Helen Burton has been with the Practice for eight years, she is a balloonist and loves guinea pigs and dogs.

Rachel Lee

(Receptionist)

 

Rachel is one of our reception team. She likes reading, rabbits and riding through the countryside on her bike.

Jodie Cole

(RVN Veterinary Nurse)

 

Jodie has been a qualified veterinary nurse for 5 years and lives in the peak district, with her husband and two children, Ella and Felix and two cats called Queenie and Prince. She loves sketching, holidays to the Norfolk  coast and is obsessed with all things disney.

Sarah Marsh

(BVSc MRCVS) Veterinary Surgeon

 

Sarah studied to be a vet at Liverpool and qualified in July 2015. She started working at Blenheim vets in August 2015. She enjoys painting, walking, cycling and swimming. She has a cat called Gary, who is partial to a jam sandwich and she is also hoping to get a puppy in the future.

Mandie is married with two gorgeous children and has two lightning fast whippets..

Rachel Hambleton

(Trainee Veterinary Nurse)

 

Rachel is one of our trainee nurses. Rachel helps out on her family farm and enjoys spending time with her dog Ellie and calf Bert.
